The outreach activity is often neglected by the researchers, probably because it is very hard to explain our work to someone external to the scientific world. This is why the people tend to diverge from the science, which would be a precious resource for all. During the Researchers’ Night (BRIGHT), staff at the Research Area of Pisa organizes stands, visits to the laboratories, presentations and projections, aimed at understanding the daily research activities in the area, the advancement of knowledge and the possible practical applications of such researches. This BRIGHT event (Video), held on the last Friday of September in the last for 4 years, is a European event, in which universities and research organizations participate. All the laboratories, including the ILIL laboratory, open their doors to adults and children to explain the goals, and their relevance, pursued by researchers in the various fields.
